Coming soon!
Right now I'm working on an extensive and completely independent sampling project for metal percussion. I'll give a postmortem and post some demos later, but just to summarize, this project will contain around 300 samples, with up to 9 velocity layers, 3 variations, and 14 articulations/playing methods per "instrument". I'm keeping a diary of my daily progress, and will post a detailed (yet, hopefully, interesting!) postmortem that'll give some insight on how sample libraries are built from square one.

WELL, www.impactsteelsounds.com gosh! :P

As you might've noticed, it's grown into a fairly ginormous project by now, incorporating lots of new components that I hadn't thought of when I first started. Literally about 10x bigger than when I started, and (of course) commercial instead of private.

Plus side is, anyone can buy it and use it. Downside? I probably won't go into extreme detail about how I went about making it. Bad for business. But I will outline the general process for doing this kinda sampling project, there's a couple steps that you just wouldn't'a thought of unless you've done it.
