I stumbled upon your blog entry when I was trying to find some information on Yoko Kanno's music. Well, I need not look any further, as you've explained it masterfully. Even a musical dunce such as myself was able to understand what you wrote. I found the aspects of her compositions that you explained extremely intriguing.
